Complete the tasks written in bold type. Choose at least two other tasks to complete. When you have completed a task, colour it
and ask your parents to sign the box. Record all your homework in your homework book. Remember to keep all your homework
neat and separate by using headings and ruling off.

I am reading at least two newspaper
articles a week. Cut out and stick one of
your favourite articles from this week’s
reading into your homework book. List
the adjectives that you find.

Now that the weather is warming up,
you may go to some places that have
water activities. Choose a water park
place that you and your family may visit
during the holidays such as Adventure
World, Cockburn ARC, Riverton
Leisureplex, Outback Splash etc.
Using the website of the place you
chose, work out how much it would cost
for your family to attend. Don’t forget
entry fees, food, drinks etc that you may
need while you are there.

5) using the information on the class

Year 5
Ask your family member to create a
wish list of what they would buy if they
had $2000. After they have finished,
have them divide the items on their list
into needs and wants. Compare the
lists and write a paragraph about the
similarities and differences between
everyone’s list.
