VII. Recommendations

I believe Mr. Virgilio Ilagan need to keep up with the market competition by doing necessary

marketing activities to promote his business and take the opportunities which he can increase his

income and market share. His business is located in the town’s business district and it is also

accessible and affordable with a price of P350 per day. Mr. Ilagan should also add services in

which the customer can avail anytime, such as food services, laundry services, etc.

I believe through promotion such as advertising which include television, radio, newspapers,

magazines, saturation banners, public transportation, catalogs, handouts, leaflets and social

networking sites can reach large numbers of people in a short period of time and be able to

convey the message to the target market with sight, sound and motion. I believe that this is the

most applicable for a small business like the Viril Lodging House. It can reach many customers

in a small period of time.

VIII. Conclusion

Therefore, I conclude that Marketing and promotion is very essential in a business whether is it a

big or small business. For a small business, promotion is really essential and must consider

different methods in promoting and choosing the applicable promotional method for a kind of

business. Mr. Ilagan may have a short term implementation program such as creating a website

for the business, FB page, create vlogs, and distribution of flyers leaflets or catalogs, and for the
long term implementation program he may place print ads in magazines, newspaper and trade

journals, television and radio commercial and billboard. There are a lot of marketing activities to

choose from, however we should choose an activity that is best suited for the business.
