My initial inspiration on making this picture is about Jose P Laurels’ love for the Philippines and

how he fought for his beloved country even if there is a restraint from the Japanese. He showed
everyone that we Filipinos should not be easily persuade by other countries. His achievements
made Filipinos follow his ideals which symbolizes the hands in the image. JPL said that “No one
can love the Filipinos more than the Filipinos themselves.”, we Filipinos are the only one who
can take care, love, fight, and honor our own country, we are no ones’ territory or a puppet.
