1. What was the emotion being expressed in the Reading No. 4 (Death of a Mother)?

- its full of appreciation towards his mother who gave him love from a child to an adult.
When his mother died, he felt empty and sorrowful. He respects his mother until he
grew up.

2. What is JPL’s attitude towards his mother’s death? Explain.

- at first, he felt empty because he was not prepared at all to lose her. But he coped up
and remember the happy memories that she left. After agonizing, he started to accept it
and wore black to commemorate the happy memories he has with his mother.

3. What do you think is the implication of this attitude on JPL’s 

    personality/performance?

- JPL is known for being honest and just governance. He is always in the side of law
and gives justice to people. As his mother raise him to be a good person, he continued
to do so until he grew up. He idolized his mother and followed her principles and traits.

4. Why do you think JPL wanted to commemorate his mother by

    wearing a black tie?

- to remind of the happy memories he shared with his mother, he continued to wear
black necktie. He wants to remember the pleasant days he had with his mother every
day. Wearing a black necktie became a habit and he felt as if she is still alive.
