Patients in hospital are usually anxious and fearful. It is importance that hospital staff put them on their ease by
being polite and pleasant. The following drills teach you polite forms in English. Be careful about the way your
voice rises and falls when you say these sentences. Listen to the way the teacher say the sentence. Practice polite
request below. One of you becomes a patient and your partner becomes a nurse. Then take turn.

Command : Come in
Request Come in, please !
