My felicitation too, to the parents, school heads, teachers and other school personnel for their untiring efforts, hard work and support through the « years to ensure success in the lives of these young learners. The theme in this year’s closing exercises “ Kalidad ng Edukasyon Lalong Patatagin sa Gitna ng Pandemya” highlights the learners’ rights to inclusive and quality education and to safety from the risks of COVID-19 pandemic. ‘The Basic Education is one among the sectors greatly affected by COVID-19 pandemic but amid the challenges the Department of Education ensures the continuity of learning through adjustments in the k to 12 curriculum, learning materials and mode of delivery using the different platforms and content formats. Moreover, DepEd ensures that the teachers are trained and parents or guardians are properly oriented on Distance Learning and the stakeholders are engaged for support and collaboration in every school. All these have been ut in place to allow the delivery of basic education amidst the challenging circumstances. Today is indeed a day to celebrate because you succeeded together with your parents or guardians despite of the threat and uncertainties brought about by COVID- 19 pandemic. Truly, this is one of your biggest accomplishments that you and your family should be proud of and happy about. Our greatest thanks and appreciation for the resilience, support and engagement of each one. Indeed, the solidarity of DepEd family and stakeholders can always make a difference in the delivery of basic education.
