Disease is No Laughing Matter

"Disease is No Laughing Matter" by Brenna R. Singman is a flash fiction story that is all
about Stuart get back to his old neighborhood and noticed all the damage caused by the
laughing plague. Brenna published this fictional story on July28, 2019 and it is classified as a
prose since it does not have any metrical or rhyming structure or it is like ordinary writing. The
story is a flash fiction because it is a short story but still have a characters and plot or have
medium brief and enclosed stories.

Natural or Manmade Catastrophe is the literary theme of this story wherein it is

definitely portrays biospheric changes that have affected the presences of the characters in the
story. The story portrays a style of parody that makes the point easier, particularly subjects that
are ordinarily seen as authentic or hard to analyze. There was a plague, it advances to the fear
of the readers, and it shows the limit several them as survivors. There are events where Stuart
would laugh disregarding that sad condition whether or not the setting portrayals were
extremely real.

one of this is the type of characters wherein the main character or protagonist character is
Stuart. Next is the antagonist the opposite of the protagonist that often working for evil
purposes to destroy a heroic protagonist. The secondary character in this story is the wife of
Stuart which is Hannah because she is the one who is affected in Stuart’s emotion. The tertiary
characters here are the survivors and Dennis who has lesser scenes but also important.

It also relates with a Man vs. Nature, man struggles with human emotions, which is like
Stuart, do, while nature charges forth undeterred.

The sequence of the story began when they introduce the place or the setting of the
story which is in the city. Next is the description of the characters and how are they connected
with each other. Rising action is the next begins with Stuart peers at the glass front entryways
of a solitary high rise while thinking back his recollections. The climax is the where he taught
that his wife passed away. The denouement is that the survivors came out in the hideout
together with Stuart and Hannah who also survived.

One of the literary device that is used in this story is the imagery specifically the visual
imagery because of this imagery they can see or imagine what are the important scenes in this
story.

kind of genre that needs to be read slowly like a poem because missing a word can change the
