Atulayan Island. A place where the
sea and sky meet.
Camarines Sur is a place
where you can see places where you can
easily escape from the toxicity of city life
and work. It offers you places where you
can stay relaxed and happy. One of
these paradises is Atulayan Island.
Atulayan Island is a snail-shaped
island offering crystal clear water and
white sand. It is a place in Camarines sur
where the sky and sea meet. It is also
famous for its open spaces where you
can experience solitude.
According to Travel Trilogy web-
site , Atulayan derived its name from the
local term “Atol” or Snail, which is the

How to get there?
In order to visit Atulayan Is- land,
from Manila fly or ride on a bus to
Naga City. Make a quick stopover to
its Bicol Central Terminal and look for a
bus bound to Lagonoy. If you are in a
hurry, you may take a van bound to
Goa. Once, you are able to take a bus
or van bound to Lagonoy or Goa, you
may ask the conductor or driver to
alight you in the Municipality of Tigaon.
It would take you an hour to 2 hours.
Upon arriving in Tigaon, you
may to take a tricycle or habal-habal/
tricycle bound to Nato, Sagñay,
Camarines Sur. This could cost you
₱13.00 per person for a tricycle and ₱
30.00 for habal or habal/ motorcycle.
You may alight at Nato Wharf where
you can find motorized outrigger boats
or bark bound to Atulayan. You may
also rent privately own ones. It may
cost you at least 1, 000 to 2, 000 pesos
depending on the size of the boat.
Once, you are in the island, you may
stay in cottages installed by resi- dents
and enjoy scenic view, white sand and
crystal clear water.

minute ride from Nato wharf to
Atulayan by a motorized boat

escapade?
Atulayan is famous for its
scenic view, white sand and crystal
clear water. Aside from its fine white
sand, it is also popular for its huge
and sharp rock formations. You may
also take selfies with its age-old
trees. Moreover, once you dive into
its clear sea water, you will be able
to see clearly the corals and sea
creatures beneath it. If you got the
chance, you may as well visit and
climb its Park were you may burn your
fats and also witness and breath
taking view of the Municipality of
Sagñay.
