“A woman is unstoppable after she realizes she deserves better.” “Women are the
real architects of society.” – Harriet Beecher stove, Womens are trapped by society
in today’s world.

Women in today’s society have certainly gained influence when we compare them
to the past yet there is still far to go until a complete balance between the genders
is achieved, Also it is fair for a woman to say that they need more freedom.

Need for Women Empowerment

Michelle Obama - “ there is no limit to what we, as women can accomplish”
Women have suffered greatly through the years at the hand of men. All the rights
belonged to men and they were treated as almost non-existent. As time evolved the
women realized their power. Women are not allowed to make their own decisions,
they need the power to help them with their rights and how they must make their
society. For example, women empowerment is needed in India. India is one of the
countries which are dangerous and not safe for women, as it is known for honor
killing.

Women are not offered the same job opportunities

Unfortunately, these days women are not offered the same job opportunities, there
is a popular assumption that the majority of jobs require men only. women are not
given the educational opportunities that men are given. Additionally, women are
entitled to certain jobs only and they are commonly perceived as not being fit to go
to work and because of societal pressure and expectations retreat to a life of raising
children and cooking meals at home for their family. This has become an
extremely important issue that women are facing. Women's earnings are less than
men, and this can deccelarte women's success. However, if the working
environment were to be equal then women would feel confident within themselves
to take a step up and show the workforce what they are all about.

Women are afraid to speak up

“You must never behave as if your life belongs to a man. Do you hear me?” Aunty
Ifeka said. “Your life belongs to you and you alone.” this quote, explains that
women's lives matter should not be dependent on men, women are capable of
making their own decisions. they have the right to fully controlling their lives
without any interference, especially from men. On a completely different line,
some women have restricted or no freedom. There is blame and disregard against
women’s hobbies for enjoying things, for example, when a woman likes a specific
sport like basketball, etc. which is believed by society that it's a men preferred
hobby/sport, for that reason, they underestimate women's abilities and make them
believe that they are unfit for specific hobbies/sports.

I have proved that women are trapped by society in today’s world in many ways
however I still find valuable respect for women achived by a sector of the society.
As I mentioned earlier, there is inequality, and women must have the opportunity
to do whatever they want in order to succeed in life.
