Your best career choice
ever
The decision to pursue a doctorate degree is one of the most important
decisions a person can ever make. The DBA program is a fully-fledged
Doctoral degree, but contrary to the Ph.D., there is a focus
on professional experience. The program will give you the necessary
tools to contribute to production and dissemination of the applied science
in the areas of management and business administration through
a rigorous and tailormade coaching by our doctoral faculty.

The DBA experience challenges you to sharpen your critical

and analytical expertise. You will develop your research skills to become
an expert in your field with a proven ability to think outside of the box.
The program is designed to fit the demanding lifestyle of executives
and professionals, meaning that you can take your career to the next level
whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Excellence through
research
The Research Department allows PSB to achieve its mission of conducting,
coordinating, publishing, and disseminating research that adds value
to managers. The Research Lab is the backbone of the school’s
pedagogical excellence. It is made up of academics that generate
collaborative applied business research across a range of disciplines
and industries.

The four research chairs are based on the main challenges of our times:
Energy, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Digital Data Design. Whilst
research irrigates teaching and enriches student learning, it in turn
facilitates communication and co-working with leading companies
carrying out their own research.

Digital resources

EBSCO offers a broad range of full text and bibliographic databases

designed for research. Subject areas include: academic, economic,
business, biomedical, government, school, and many other subjects.

CYBERLIBRIS is the first pluridisciplinary community driven digital library

dedicated to business schools and engineering schools.

PSB LIBRARY references all the works and books available at school.
The students have acces to the Paris American library.

Pursuing the Doctorate of Business Administration

was a crucial step in my life. Firstly, it paved the way
to investigating sophisticated problems that need
advanced exploration techniques and skills to reach
innovative solutions. Secondly, it also opens the door
to becoming part of scientific developers
and innovators instead of only the beneficiary
of solutions drafted by others. The DBA program also
affected my personal life, resulting in improved
personal skills in terms of analyzing, criticizing
and decision-making. PSB Paris School of Business
enjoys a unique position and an unparalleled academic
reputation in the western world, with a large number
of leading scholars working in their respective fields. ”

Academic excellence
applied
to Business
The PSB Paris School of Business teaching staff is known for its
academic excellence and pedagogical level. Essentially “permanent”
and committed to educational reflection, our professors (most of them
researchers) hold doctoral degrees and/or degrees from the best French
and English-speaking universities, French elitist grande école or foreign
business schools. Our tenured professors’ research work feeds the daily
educational activities and corporate involvement of the school.

4 Study and Research Field

Depending on the focus of their research, students will benefit from
a supervisory support from our highly qualified faculty. Our doctoral
faculty is broken down in four tracks.

Dr. Jean-Marc LEHU

Head of the Marketing DBA Track
MARKETING jm.lehu@psbedu.paris

Preparing a DBA at PSB Paris School of Business with a marketing

specialization implies that you are ready to think and act part scientist,
part creative, and then see marketing as a holistic transversal academic
discipline / business function. Your thesis will have to reflect this state
of mind, conceptualizing, structuring and arguing rigorously your ideas,
but also propose an original and creative subject leading to concrete
scientific and professional added value, in the marketing field.
Marketing is a very open-minded discipline, offering you the possibility
to challenge bold new insights, to defy conventional thoughts with
original approaches, always with a strict academic methodology
and obvious business usefulness purpose.

Dr. Josse ROUSSEL

ECONOMICS Dean of the Executive DBA
Head of the Economics & Finance
& FINANCE DBA Track
j.roussel@psbedu.paris

Research questions focusing on economics are numberless: labor costs

and offshoring, trade deals and offshoring, lobbying and public policy ;
comparative advantage theory and industry specialization, monetary
policy and the business cycle... The study of Finance addresses
the ways in which individuals, business entities and other organizations
allocate resources over time.
At PSB Paris School of Business, a specialization in finance includes
but is not limited to a survey of empirical and theoretical research
in investments and portfolio management, corporate finance, corporate
governance, behavioral finance, monetary policy on capital markets.

Olivier LAMOTTE
INTERNATIONAL Head of the International
Business DBA Track
BUSINESS o.lamotte@psbedu.paris

Business is borderless. Firms are competing globally for financial,

human, environmental resources and access to markets. Nowadays,
top managers are required to understand and contribute
to the knowledge of doing international business. To stay out
of the mass of MBA graduates, developing extra abilities to explore
international markets and business in a multicultural landscape is a key.
The DBA opens you a wide range of activities from collecting data,
analyzing it, to communicating your thoughts and results to a business
audience. The DBA covers topics from global strategy as well as
financial and marketing management. The elective courses allow
participants to deepen their knowledge in their research topic about
International Business.

STRATEGIC
MANAGEMENT, David VERSAILLES
CORPORATE Head of the Strategic
Management, Corporate Strategy
STRATEGY & Innovation Studies DBA Track
dw.versailles@psbedu.paris
& INNOVATION
STUDIES
Global firms and SMEs have to redefine their ways and their roles
in the management of technology, innovation processes, and resources
orchestration. New managerial practices also have to adapt to
the emergence of the so-called “Millenials” while most traditional
concerns remain just as pertinent and pressing today: productivity,
labor problems, cost containment, and new product development.
The demand for research is also driven today by rapid and continuous
change in the economy, as well as the always increasing importance
of open innovation models. The suggested research fields can range
under three main fields: management of technology and of innovation;
corporate strategy and management of resources; corporate
governance and the governance of ecosystems.
