SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON RESEARCH FOR BASIC EDUCATION

RESEARCH FUND (BERF) RECIPIENTS

1. This Office, through the Policy, Planning, and Research Division (PPRD), shall conduct
a two-day virtual Seminar-Workshop on Research for Basic Education Research Fund
(BERF) Recipients on June 10-11, 2021 via Microsoft (MS) Teams.

2. The activity aims to:

a. provide updates on the status of BERF implementation in the region;
b. re-orient the participants on BERF guidelines; and
c. provide Technical Assistance on the writing of research report.

3. The participants to this seminar-workshop are listed below:

4. SDOs are required submit their confirmation and list of participants on or before
June 9, 2021 through email at pprd.region8@deped.gov.ph. The meeting link and access
shall be provided a day prior to the conduct of the activity through the SDOs’ email address
and Facebook Messenger Group Chat of Division Research Coordinators.

5. Attached are the Confirmation Letter (Annex A), Activity Matrix (Annex B), and List of
BERF Recipients (Annex C) for reference.

6. Expenses incurred relative to the conduct of the activity shall be charged to RO Policy
Research Program (PRP) Fund subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and
regulations.

7. Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Memorandum are desired.
