INTRODUCTION
In implementing leadership, several things are emphasized as key measures such as,
leadership style, knowledge, attitude and experience (Mohd Ali et al., 2021; Parimala et
al., 2021; SitiJamilah et al., 2021; Nor Fauziyana et al., 2021; Noel et al., 2021). Many of
the leaders in the organization have almost all of these things as well as make them
effective leaders (Ahmad Shafarin et al., 2021; Junaidah et al., 2021; Farah Adibah et al.,
2021; Ahmad Shakani et al., 2021; Muhammad Amin et al., 2021; Muhamad Amin et al.,
2021). With the available power, along with strong leadership elements itself, then a
leader will be able to lead very well (Santibuana et al., 2021; Nor Diana et al., 2021;
Zarina et al., 2021; Khairul et al., 2021; Rohani et al., 2021). Effective leadership will be
a mirror to the success of an organization.
BACKGROUD STUDY
Nevertheless, the tendency to view leadership among women in an organization is still
not very clear (Abdul Jalil et al., 2021; Mohd Noh et al., 2021; Mustafa et al., 2021; Roszi
et al., 2021; Tumisah et al., 2021; Tumisah et al. al., 2021). Women’s leadership is
usually overshadowed by the myth of the shortcomings and weaknesses of the
administration of an organization in general, and large organizations in particular (Irma et
al., 2021; Suzana et al., 2021; Rohanida et al., 2021; Nazrah et al., 2021; Shahrulliza et al.
METHODOLOGY
This brief needs study uses a qualitative approach in collecting and analyzing data.
Interviews were conducted with 30people in BatuPahat district. The interview sessions
lasted for five to 10 minutes with discussions focused on their opinion about theabilities
and qualification of women leadership. The sessions were recorded and then transcribed
for data analysis purposes. Thematic analysis was conducted on the resulting transcripts.
The themes derived from the analysis became the findings of this study. These themes are
also indicators of the results of this study. The findings presented in the chart shown in
Figure 1.

Based on the thematic analysis conducted on the interview transcripts, the average
respondent agreed that ability and qualifications are very important in leading leadership.
They noted that, in general, both of these aspects are necessary in shaping effective
organizational leadership and management. In fact, they argue that, women’s leadership is
more in need of this aspect. Figure 1 shows 65% or 20 respondents think that ability is
paramount in choosing a woman to lead. While another 35% or 10 respondents put
qualifications as the main thing in the selection of women as leaders.
DISCUSSION
The stigma of society still sees women as less suitable to be given responsibilities as
leaders of an organization. Whenever we talk about leadership among women, society
will see it as less suitable, less capable and unworthy. Society will associate women with
some weaknesses such as being too emotional, too attached to feelings, lack of discretion
in decision making and not being able to separate between work affairs and personal
affairs. Respondents were also initially less interested in communicating about women's
leadership, because for them it was not something exciting.
There is no denying that, women are more likely to be emotional according to feelings in
doing something. However, it is not fair if we punish all women in relation to this issue. It
is a loss, if their abilities and qualifications are not put to good use. Through this brief
study, we can see that, society is actually aware of the importance of choosing qualified
leaders in managing an organization. More than half of the respondents stated that,
