A sentence in which two or more verbs or verbal phrases are used as the predicate of the
same subject is called the sentence with verbal structure in series.In the sentences we learnt in
this unit,the second verb indicates the purpose of the first.
Sentence Pattern:
Somebody + Verb1 + Object 1+ Verb2 + Object 2
Tā qù yínhánɡ huàn qián.

Remember this!
● For Chinese numbers,every four digits consist of a unit.While in English it is
three.Every four digits begin a new unit.
● When to read unit word: do not say the unit word until all digits in the unit are
mentioned.
● When to read 0? when 0 is at the beginning of the unit. 10001
● When 0 is in the middle of the unit. 1011 not when it is at the very end of the number.
