segment of computing whether it is in small and medium

puting environments. IDC estimates that x86 servers
now represent 80 percent of all server spending and
98 percent of all units shipped.
At the same time, there are a number of very disruptive
market forces taking place that are all aimed at the
business imperative to improve IT cost and efficiency.
There is the shift to the cloud to improve operational
costs, which is having a profound impact on how applica-
tions are created and deployed. In fact, 80 percent of
clients are building new applications for the cloud. As a
result, it is changing the capabilities required in the
hardware as resiliency is built into the software.

diverse enterprise workloads from infrastructure basics
