WHATS NEW
GET ME RIGHT!

SITUATION: Watching a movie on our salas.

bread!”

WHATS IN

If I were to travel back in time where my brother misunderstands me, I would ask my brother straing
forward question, like “can I have some of the Cookies & Cream? And I’ll give you some banana bread in
exchange”. My realization is that we should always ask in a way that the people we ask won’t
misunderstand us and start a fight due to it. We should be straight forward on questions to avoid
misunderstanding and unable to know what it wants to say to have a good and better communication
and make a wonderful topic.
WHATS MORE

ACTIVITY 1. UNDERSTANDING SPEECH ACT

ACTIVITY 1.A. REACT TO ME NOW

No! I know and you know that you are beautiful! For me you are the most perfect woman in my
life. But I am really the only problem and I do not really appreciate being honest and when you
truly love me, and I know that is not enough "sorry" to forgive me but hopefully one day the
time will come and that day will be that you’ll forgive me too. You are perfect the way you are
and that’s what all matters and you need to be you don’t be judge mental about yourself just
because of what they think about you. You don't need to impress someone for your looks.
You’re beautiful but if you put makeup then you hide your own natural beauty and that you are
hiding what god have made of you.

ACTIVITY 1B. FAMOUS LINES

Title of the movie: 4 sisters and a wedding

pain.

ACTIVITY 2: RESPONDING APPROPRIATELY AND EFFECTIVELY TO A SPEECH ACT.

If I were to respond, I will be a character in the film as a mother of the 4 sisters and 1 brother, and this is
my respond:

Are you saying that I'm unfair?

I'm sorry, I didn't know you felt that way.

I thought I was being fair. Because in my heart… I loved you all the same way. The reason why my
attentions always focused on Teddie and Cj, is because among all of you, they’re the weakest. They were
always frail and sickly. So, they needed my extra attention. But you three, you have always been
independent, strong and brace. My dear daughter, I’m sorry. I’m really sorry. If I just knew that you were
feeling that way, I would’ve done something to fix it. I want you to know that I’m so grateful for
everything you’ve done for us. Thankyou Bobbie, thank you. If I had my faults for all of you as a mother,
I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m not perfect, but I am your mother. And I will always love you in the best way I
know how.

11-15.

At first, I thought that it wasn’t that useful and helpful because responding is just easy.

But now, I have learned that learning the important ways on how to respond effectively, I can finally
understand and not misunderstand the people o talk to everyday. We can have a good conversation
and share our ideas with each other more because of good communication.
