“Li f e wi t hout c ov i d”

“How’s life without Coronavirus?” you ask.

Well, it all depends on who’s answering.
If you ask the oldies, you’ll probably get answered with a “Nye then life
would be normal” but what is the definition of normal?
If you ask a teacher, they will answer you “then education will probably be so
much easier than today” but when did education get easy?
If you ask the doctors they will say “then we will not be blamed when
someone dies in our watch, we would not be called incompetent” but when did we
not blame the doctors for the death of our family?
If you ask a student, they will answer with a “then maybe we can enjoy
learning duh” but do we really enjoy face to face learning? Hmm
Hi everyone! I am Dundy your future educator. If I were the one being asked
this question I don’t think I can answer it shortly,
So let me tell you a glimpse of how I imagine my life would be today without
Coronavirus….

(7:30 am, New Era University, Ladies dorm 2, Quezon City Philippines)
*First scenario*

“Dundy! Wake up! It’s already 8:30! We’re late for class!” said Daisy my roommate
slash classmate.
“Let’s not attend our first class today, it’s our first day so go ahead and sleep more!”
my lazy ass shouted haha
“Are you sure you’re not the daughter of Satan? Anyways, fine! Wake me up 9:00am
sharp! Don’t forget to set your alarm okay?” said Daisy.

(And either both of them did not wake up at exactly 9:00am and ended up
missing their first day of class as a third year education student)

(10:30 pm, New Era University, Ladies dorm 2, Quezon City Philippines)
*Second scenario*
Day one
“Dundy, what time will we do our midterm requirement? Its due on 7 days, it’s
better to do it early” asked Daisy...
“Ugh Daisy! It’s easy! Don’t be such a nerd, let’s just do it tomorrow!”
Day two
“Dundy, come! Let’s do it now” said by the angel, Daisy.
“I’m not feeling well Daisy, maybe tomorrow? Please?”
“Not feeling well? Or feeling lazy?” Daisy.
“Promise! I’m really not feeling well tonight”
“Fine! Let’s do it tomorrow, rest well” Daisy
------------------ four days passed----------------
“DUNDY! YOU DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO MAKE EXCUSES TONIGHT!
WE HAVE TO FINISH OUR REQUIREMENTS TONIGHT! WE HAVE TO PASS IT
TOMMOROW MORNING!” said by the angry Daisy.
“FINE! LET’S JUST PULL AN ALL NIGHTER! I HATE SCHOOL! WE’RE NOT
ROBOTS! WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS AND WE ALSO GET TIRED!” said by the clown
named Dundy.
“WE WON’T BE IN THIS SITUATION IF IT WERENT FOR YOUR LAZY ASS”
said Daisy.
“WE WON’T BE IN THIS SITUATION IF YOU DID’T TOLERATE YOUR
LAZY ASS BESTFRIEND DUH” said again by the clown named Dundy.
“I accept defeat, let’s just finish this” said by Daisy.

So the whole point of the short glimpse of my imagination is, our life if the
Pandemic did not strike us will be normal, normal as it’s how it supposed to be,
normal in terms of enjoying life, normal amount of stress, normal problems to be
encountered and normal with our own definition of “normal”.
