Tummo the supreme secret path.

Spiritual son blessed with karmic connection.


First, abandon all the outer and inner activities.
Sit on a comfortable seat,
In a solitude away from the bustle of worldly affairs.
The body posture, sit still and upright,
With the legs crossed,
Place hands (mnyam gzhag?) above the navel.
Straighten the vertebrae (like a stacked) gold coin.
Bend the neck like an iron (or fish) hook.
Spread the shoulders like a bird’s wing.
Attune both mind and body.
Focus eyes on the tip of the nose.
On the top (of the head?), at the (Tib.) rnam dag byod pa?,
Has three hundred and sixty Nadi-petals.
Sixteen at the throat unifying-taste.
Thirty two at the heart.
Sixty four at the navel (Tib bskyed byed, where human arises?).
Twenty eight at the secret (chakra).
Contemplate them as Chakras.
At their center, is the Kundarma (central channel),
Stands like a life-tree (Tib. srog shing).
It’s tip is stuck to the channel-knots of the crown of the head,
Its root (ends) pierces the secret-vajra,
For females it is the distinguishing mark(?) (Tib. tshan ma).
Visualize the duo Roma and rKyang ma,
Wind round the five chakras,
Coming forth from above the brain,
Extending downwards from the meeting point of eyebrows,
And entering inside the two nostrils.
Visualize the end tips of the two channels,
Entering inside the Kundhar (central channel),
At four inches below the navel.
Visualize the three channels the thickness of an arrow,
With the red colour.
Expel the stale airs three times outside,
And through the two nostrils,
Draw in gentle and long air inside.
And then imagine from inside the two channels,
Moving downwards like blowing entrails,
Entering inside the Uma at the secret-place.
Imagine the union of the upper and lower air.
Visualize a distinct red (syllable) A,
Inside the channel-knots of secret-vajra.
Glowing redness appears as the wind blows on that.
The heat of blazing fire,
Touches a white Hum syllable facing downwards,
Inside the navel’s chakra of channel-knots,
From the point of union of a great divine Yab and Yum.
As from the heat of the fire melts the Hum,
There arises bliss because of the union of Yab and Yum.
Imagine the bodhicitta filling the secret channel-knots,
Like melting a clarified butter.
Press down the air as much as one can,
If can’t, breathe in a little, and press.
If even that is not possible,
Then release the half and lock the rest of it.
At the time of releasing,
Release gently from the two nostrils.
Visualize after entering upwards inside the Kundarma,
Clear light? (sngo songs) leaving at the Brahmarandra (tshangs bug).
Practice if one is able to that,
Heat and bliss will ignite at the secret-place.
At the time when the pure-essence escapes,
Practice the navel’s Tummo at the heart.
When the bliss-warmth arises at the navel,
Meditate upwards from the heart to the throat.
And then there will arise a bliss-warmth at the heart.
From throat to the crown of the head,
Visualize blazing upwards.
By doing that, Nadis open up.
When Nadis opens, pure-essence rises.
As the pure-essence raises the bliss,
To the body, bliss blazes like a fire.
Bindu comes forth like a burble of water,
And that realizes the emptiness of exalted wisdom.
