Supplemental instructions for scoring and interpretation for

BENDER GESTALT MOTOR VISUAL TEST:


1. Sequence - drawings should be drawn from top to bottom.

Right to left drawing of figures are indicative of negativistic or rebellious tendencies.

2. Position of the first drawing

Please make use of a ruler to measure placement of the drawings. Please refer to the manual for
measurements and scoring.

3. Use of space

Please refer to the manual.

4. Collision

Please refer to the manual.

5. Shift in the position of paper

Please refer to the manual.

6. Closure difficulty

Please refer to the manual

7. Crossing difficulty

Please refer to the manual

8. Curvature difficulty

Changes in the curves should be noted especially for figures 4, 5 and 6.

Figure 4 should contain 2 small curves at either side and 1 large concave curve in the middle.

Figure 5 should contain 1 concave curve

Figure 6 should contain 1 horizontal curved line and 1 diagonal curved line.

The horizontal curved line should consist of 5 concave curves and 4 convex curves

The vertical curved line should consist of 4 concave curves and 4 convex curves.
