1. Define Culture

Culture is a belief or behavior for a group or society that has a symbolic or special meaning
that has to characterize that group.

2. Define Tradition

Tradition is cultural continuity in society that have characteristic, manner, style and
method.

3. Define Way of Life

Way of life is an activity the habits or behavior that are of the person’s life by the sight or
chosen by them.

4. Writes the differences between Britain English and England English

These two English varieties between British English and American English is like a twin they are
same but has some different either. These two varieties of English sometimes have different
pronunciation, spelling, grammatical, vocabulary and morphology. These language between
British and American sounds different for both country but understandable by them. Many factors
are involved to make these two different varieties. Early British American have to adapted with
native Americans from other countries, the American colonies gained independence from Britain
and grow to be independent country with different cultures, that’s why fast forward the two
dialects have quite a few differences. The different of the culture between American and English
is one of cause, In British rhotic speech which means that the letter R was clearly pronounce is a
high level of social classes. The absorption language British took many French words and
Americans took many Spanish words. Some text editor between these two countries makes a
spelling as incorrect because differences between British and American but if you checked in a
dictionary its nothing wrong with that.

Rhotic speech or sound r is pronounced in American English, but in British it remains silent, the
stress on pronounce on different syllable make these two varieties is different. Sometimes
American English make the pronunciation simpler by altering some vowel sounds.

Grammatical differences:

The different in structure grammatical are small but more significant. For example, The British
normally use the present tense use the verb to have and American normally use omit this verb

Collective nouns are also used differently team and committee it can refers be singular or plural
in British because the plural being of the group consist of multiple individuals and American is
considered as a single entity.

5. Writes the differences between British and American life

I see Americans are more easygoing in making friends, in contrast to British who need
some time in social life. However, there are some cultural advantages of British culture
that I like. In England people rarely talk about race differences in the US, the work-life
balance in England is more stable, health care costs in England are cheap and free, British
culture is more private and the language more polite.

6. Explain why the British people now accessible to Muslim community

In English several mosque and Muslim community give a chance for every British non-
Muslim to visit and learn about Islam, this case because Muslim community in Britain
want make a solidarity inface increasing Islamophobic. Event Visit My Mosque is a chance
for every mosque to greet each British people from different culture and community.
These things can attract people from every community so that can make people know the
beautiful and value of goodness. This event can make solidarity every community too.
7. What is commonwealth?

The Commonwealth is political association of 54 independent and equal counties. In

English terms, a commonwealth is a traditional English term for political community. The
commonwealth of Nation is a voluntary union involving sovereign states that were
founded or colonized by the United Kingdom. Countries that take the UK as head of state
are known as the Kingdom of the commonwealth, but not all the members recognize
Queen Elizabeth as head of state, they have their own system politic

8. Write what happens with prince Harry and Megan regarding their royal heritage

Megan Markle is an American citizen from a modern point of view, she is a black American
and married to Prince Harry, and this is a first in the British Empire. There are many things
in Megan that are not in accordance with the principle of royal life in England starting
from clothes, life perspective, and rules. Prince Harry chose to leave the British Empire
because he thought of his wife and children.

9. What are the so-called potatoes in jacket?

Jacket potato or people known as Baked potato is side dish that made from potatoes with
butter, cheese, bacon, meat and sour cream. This potato baked directly in coals on a fire
with aluminum foil. This food has been popular in the UK from the mid 19 century, this
food was sold on the streets by hawkers in autumn or winter.

10. Do you prefer speak British or American why?

I always use American English, because for me it’s easier to understand and I always watch
American series and movie, so that I more understand American English. For
pronunciation American English is more easy than British, the language more
understandable, but for me British English more polite and good than American English.

11. Write 3 reasons why Mr. Bean is successful movie or drama

a. Mr. Bean has been that become a truly British cultural icon that popular in the world.
b. Building personal image of Mr. Bean has sustained continuity. Mr. Bean stays in his
character with comedy and humor.
c. Mr. Bean is adapted from everyday situation that relate to all types of society or
people, because of that Mr. Bean has a heart in audience heart.
12. How good and strong the relationship between Britain and Indonesia

Diplomatic relation between Indonesia and England have been established for 71 years
from December 1949.During that period, the 2 countries had quite relations and
cooperation in various field, such as economy, trade, investment, education, technology,
maritime, socio-cultural, to defense. In this relation of national interests’ relative stable
without any significant intension because that both countries are maritime countries. The
geographical condition as an archipelagic country makes the sea is an economic and trade
asset, at the same time security and safety at the sea is a common concern for both
countries. Also has an interests and commitment in overcoming global problems, such as
the issue of climates change, transnational organized crime, and other global problems.
This intersection of the same national secret that makes the relation between 2 countries
stronger, which build the values of friendship, mutual respect and cooperation.
