Parallel Sentences

The following sentences are fault in parallel structure, rewrite them so that they are
correct in parallel ones.
1. What counts isn't how you look but your behavior.
2. The president promised to reform health care, preserve social security, and a
balanced budget.
3. He described skiing in the Alps, swimming in the Adriatic, and the drive across
the Sahara Desert. (faulty parallelism)
4. He liked their courage, stamina, and their style. (not parallel)
5. She saw a van, a car, and bicycle collide. (not parallel)
6. He spoke more of his term as ambassador than being president.
7. The schools in the rural area are smaller than the inner city.
8. The administration approved the student's right to drop the class but
not meeting with the professor.
9.  The committee chose to postpone the motion rather than voting on it.
10. The scientists disputed not only the newspaper article but also they disputed the
university's official statement.
11.  I like the job or not.
12. I have neither the patience to complete the assignment nor do I have the time
complete it. 
13. We expected not only to be late but also we expected to be exhausted.
14. Kate prepared the speech on the plane, and it was delivered by her at the
conference.
15. Robert has in the past and will in the future continue to support the measure.
16. He was thanked for his hard work and completing it on time.
17. I thought the movie was slow, boring, and it took too long.
