responses

2
SFRA Analysis (Power Transformer)
Frequency shifts (also small shifts) indicates electrical or mechanical changes
Difference in magnitude < 3 dB is normally not of interest

Frequency range Low frequencies Mid frequencies High frequencies

Typical deviation Core, magnetic Windings - relative Small parts, axial
circuit, movements and deformations in
shorted/open deformations single windings
windings (especially radial)

3
Transformer Demo Box compared to a real-world power
transformer

Frequency response shifted to higher frequencies

 Dynamic range smaller
Simulated fault responses are not representative

Template for PAX Transformer Demo Box

Here you have three possibilities:

1. Some foresighted individual has
provided a sweep group for
“PAX Transformer Demo Box”.
2. You can define a new sweep
group and sweeps, using the
“Add” buttons.
3. You can choose the “Quick Test”
tab and add additional sweeps
as you are performing
measurements.
4. You can use an existing file as
template for sweep definitions.
