Please verify if the experiment data is satisfied with simulation results and hand calculations. Are there any
differences?

Do you find anything about the relationship between output signal and input frequency?

◥ Experiment 1A: Frequency Response of High Pass Filter (Optional)

High pass filter is like the figure below (Use the capacitance and resistance below to calculate the 3dB
frequency f0)

1. Please input a sine wave (5V) to Vin, and measure the amplitude and phase of the assigned frequencies. After the
experiment, sketch the frequency response and compare the result with that in question 3 in PRELAB. (7 pics for
amplitude - Vin verses Vout)
2. Use frequency sweep function of your function generator to figure out the frequency response of this RC
network. (1 pic)
3. Compare it with the result of step 1.
4. Use Network Analyzer in Analog Discovery 2 to figure out the magnitude and phase response of this RC
network, and compare it with others. (1 pic) (bonus)

(1) Sketch the frequency response with your sample points. (7 pic)

Frequency (Hz) 0.1f0 0.2f0 0.5f0 f0 2f0 5f0 10f0

Attach frequency response figure! (Plot 3 figures for the response!)

(2) Sketch the result of frequency sweep. (1 pic)

(4) Sketch the result of Network Analyzer in Analog Discovery 2. (1 pic)

◥ Experiment 6: Digilent Analog Discovery 2 with Waveforms

Please refer the “Getting Started With Analog Discovery 2 (Windows)” to practice along with this guide
and test out WaveForms and demonstrate your screenshot of below assigned step 3, step5, step 8 in Take
a Measurement of this guide.
https://reference.digilentinc.com/learn/instrumentation/tutorials/analog-discovery-2-getting-started-windows/start

Step 3: Select your Device

When you first plug in your Analog Discovery 2, you will see the Device Manager. Select your
device from the given options. If you don't have an Analog Discovery 2, you can also select
“Analog Discovery 2 Demo mode”.

Step 5: Start the WaveForm Generator

Open the WaveForm Generator, and click “run”.

Step 7: Take a Measurement (Demonstrate in Lab)

Plug the yellow wire (Waveform Generator 1) into the orange wire (Oscilloscope Channel 1
positive.) Plug any black wire (ground) into the orange wire with the white stripe (Oscilloscope
Channel 1 negative.)
