DESCRIPTIPON
The project is to develop installation packages using Windows Installer. The packages are done in the
MSI format.  The Microsoft Windows Installer technology helps the clients to have consistent and
reliable installation of the software applications. The  technology  enables  users  to  build  
customized   installations   that   help   in configurations, upgrades, shared resources  &  repair  of 
the  applications among other things. The application is tested on the required platforms

ROLES AND RESONSIBILITIES

 Creating quality packages as per the client request using Admin studio and application
virtualization.
 Expertise in AdminStudio, Installshield for Application Repackaging.
 Technical Analysis of the source binaries using various packaging tools.
 Repackaging/virtualizing the same as part of packaging activity.
 Developing MST’s for vendor MSI’s to implement business rules and to perform any
customizations as per the requirements.
 Creating .MSI & .MST using Admin studio as per Client Specifications.
 Creating packages for secure applications using Wise packaging.
 Checking the package for the quality as per the QA standards specified by the client.
 Experience in Validation, Packaging, QA and UAT tests.
 Performing Updates and Upgrades (Minor and Major).
 Provide UAT and Production support. Upon achieving the targeted compliance, hand-
over the package to the local desk side teams for handling future manual remediation.

Role : Application Packager

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

 Worked with Adminstudio for repackaging legacy setup into MSI, and Patches (.MSP)
 Analysis of the given setup.exe is carried out, using provided specifications. It includes
checking for application dependencies, application installation and uninstallation. It also
includes analysis of application behavior, which in turn consists of checking for drivers,
services, per-user data, shortcuts and such other aspects depending on the type of
application.
 Creating of App-V Sequences and then deploying them.
 Deploying the App V Sequence in standalone installation and also verifying the
standards.
 Checking application compatibility on Win7-win 10
 Performing internal testing and User Acceptance Testing.
 Coordinating with clients and resolving the issues that has been encountered in UAT.
 MST's are created for Vendor Supplied MSI. Ensured MST's are as per packaging
standards.
 Testing the functionality of packaged applications for administrators and Standard Users.
 Debug the errors by using Log files and Event viewer.
