Tell me something about yourself.

I am a recent graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the University of Eastern

Philippines. During which I have completed two clinical works as a nursing student.
The first one was a volunteer work at the school clinic wherein I performed basic
clinical skills through assisting and organizing check-ups and also responded to
medical emergencies. My second training work took place at the Northern Samar
Provincial Hospital in which I was able to perform my skills on clinical operations
such as managing in-patient monitoring and ultimately assisted patients and health
care providers in administering overall care. Recently, I have acquired my license as
a Registered Nurse to which excites me of the possible opportunities it will bring. My
experiences and learnings as a student nurse in the past have fully ignited my
passion in nursing care and this is why I am here pursuing the position as registered
nurse in your reputable institution.

What is your edge among the applicants?

My overall passion, enthusiasm and interest in working towards my nursing work’s
and your institution’s growth and improvement is an attitude that I can assure you all
throughout my work. I am confident that my skills and training in clinical operations,
patient assessment and care and overall medical knowledge as a registered nurse is
something that is invaluable and I believe is what sets me apart from your other
applicants.

Why should we hire you?

I understand that for this position of Registered Nurse, you’re looking for someone
with clinical knowledge on patient care in a hospital setting, someone who is familiar
with providing specified care and can adhere to institutional procedures. In general,
due to my background and skills on clinical care in which I have successfully
facilitated nursing treatment and clinical operations in coordination with various
healthcare providers, I am confident that I will be able to contribute greatly to your
institution. Likewise, your institution to my career as a registered nurse.

How can you fill the gap between reality and expectations scenario?
Expectations are something that we cannot altogether avoid and there’s nothing
wrong with expecting but what we can avoid though is disappointing realities. If we
could lower these expectations to a standard and/or at least expect for both the good
and the bad, maybe then our expectations would not cloud over our realities and
disappoint us in return.

Which is more important in a job? Superior qualifications or character?

If I were to determine which has more importance between someone who has
superior qualifications and someone with character, I would rather pick someone
who is knowledgeable, reliable, professional, and someone who actively seeks
learning. Based on your two options, this would be that someone who has superior
qualifications. If you’re going to ask someone to assist you in a specific operation
that needs specific skills, someone who has the qualifications to do it will be a more
ideal person to perform the operation with you. Unlike with someone who only has a
character, they wouldn’t be able to assist you in that situation due to their lack in
qualification. Thus, I believe that someone with superior qualifications is much more
ideal in an important job.
