Aim:
After this course the student should be able to:
Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Basic course in Production and Opreations Management
Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission
requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the
programme, or corresponding.
Organisation:
The lectures deal with the theoretical approaches and the seminars and laboratory sessions deal
with a project.
Course contents:
Analysing Manufacturing Opreations: Anlayses of lead-time, capacity, material flow, customer
and manufacturing orders, delivery service, inventories, informaiton, and from a systems
perspective.
Simulation as Support for Analysing and Improving Operations: Relationships among lead-
time, capacity, material flow, inventories, orders, delivery service, costs, information, and
plannning strategy.
