TITLE

First paragraph

In the early 19th century a young new rapper was evolved. He was known as lil’

Clay. Lil’ Clay’s real name was Michael Shaw. He grew up as a young African American

listening to rappers like Notorious B.I.G, and Tupac Shakur. He wasn’t really into the

Soul, Funk, and Disco years with ray Charles and gospel groups, but he really liked the

Jackson five. He would listen to their music to calm him down when he’s angry. Also he

would go to their concerts and bought one of their records called “The Might of Motown.

At one of their concerts he met Marvin Gaye, Motown’s most successful soul artist. Over

the years the music he listened to started to rub off on him and he began to gain some

rapping skills. He would always rap to his friends in school. Later on in his life he was

known as the greatest rapper alive.

Just like all the other new rappers he emerged from the poor, and got richer as his

rap career became more successful. Lil’ clay would listen to a lot of rappers but the one

that he was inspired by was the one who started it all, Grand Master Flash. When he

became famous he started to work with his best friend since middle school, Ro’Dizzle.

He was the most famous DJ in all of New York. They both started to perform at concerts

together and became the dynamic duo Of Rap. They created all different kind of music

like Gansta Rap or Modern R&B. Lil’ Clay like Modern R&B better because gansta rap

really influenced to listiners by going to a more violent side.
