Every klaxon, siren, alarm and notification was blaring at once.

The ship had been hit by one hell of a

blast and was going down fast. All the emergency systems were failing, and the hull integrity would
soon be compromised. The AI was already prepping the escape pod. Lisa had no time. Grabbing the
only thing within reach, her multitool, she dashed into the fortified pod just in time. The ship crashed
into the ocean and bits of arms and flesh were sent flying everywhere? What?!? That was no ocean!
The
Great Corpse Sea
It was a bustling, writhing horde of decaying flesh hundreds of miles across. Even from high up, she
couldn't see the end of it. Her pod was going down fast, and if she landed in it... As her pod sped
across the sky, her luck came through. A shore popped into sight and drew closer, no, more than just
a shore, it was a city! A civilization! She was sav-
*BTOOM!*
And now they were opening fire on her. Cannons mounted on tall metal walls launched salvo after
salvo, at her, explosive shells coming perilously close to cracking the the escape pod's defenses,
luckily, it held, and soon, she had cleared the wall and was going to land within the city itself.
"Impact with xeno-architecture imminent! Better hope the locals are friendly." the AI chirps, right
before her pod ploughs into the side of a large, cuboidal building. Everything shakes. Her body feels
like it's about to liquefy from the insane deceleration. The impact knocks her out, even through the
pod's shock absorbers. As all goes black, she sees a large, singular eye peer through the hatch...

Pain. Pain was good. Pain meant she was alive. She awoke in something like a surgery room. Had a
rescue mission found her somehow? No. The place looked bizzare. She might not be a medical doctor,
but she KNEW alot of the things she was looking at weren't standard medical equipment, or even
human technology.
"Now look what you've done! You've ruined a perfectly good corpse!"
"I'm no base reanimator, Drane, If I was able to restore her, she was simply not dead yet. In fact, it is
YOU who has interfered with my medical operation!"
A pair of vaguely humanoid figures were arguing in the distance. They were wearing doctor coats,
but... looked wrong. Mishappen... As the fog fell away and her eyes regained focus, she quickly
wished they hadn't.
Dr Snip. Boogeyman of Surgery
Dr Drane. Not a medical doctor.

The tall lanky doctor in surgical scrubs had too many appendages, and the one in a lab coat looked
more like a science experiment gone wrong than a scientist. Both stopped their arguing once Lisa
stirred.
"Ah, you are awake. Welcome, spacefaring human, to Mortasheen. I am Dr Snip, and I am pleased to
report that despite 95% damage to your structural integrity, you were successfully restored to
working order, despite the efforts of my colleague here."
"In my defense, a human should not survive multiple diastatic fractures to the skull, a fulminated
liver, a liquefied spleen, a massive haemopneumothorax, 79 broken bones and 7 stubbed toes..."

I slowly blinked, my consciousness still light, unsure about what I remembered. Did I have a really bad
dream, or did all of this really happened ? First the crash, then the sea of... corpses ? The terrifying
sound of shells passing right by my pod, and worse... This... vision of two monstrous entities...
Speaking like humans, yet so unfamiliar, their bodies so unnerving, twisted, mixed...
My vision became clearer, slowly, second after second. The voices of the people by me sounded
already too weird, one too high pitched to be normal.
The doubt took over me, even before i was able to see them, they were here. These things were
arguing next to me, and the horror of their sight made my body twitch a little, my eyes widening in
shock, my mouth opening to speak but not making a sound

"Hmmm, ah yes. Adjustment disorder. HELLO HUMAN. DO NOT BE ALARMED. I AM NOT

BELLIGERENT." The tall one, Dr Snips. "You were badly hurt. I fixed your body. In spite of my
colleague's best efforts." her remarks, eliciting a cross *hrumph* from the other one. "You should be
in decent shape now. Is there something wrong?"
The thing slowly inched closer as it was talking, not making any sudden movements, and stopping if it
looked like he was spooking Lisa. He had his arms, all three of them, where Lisa could see them,
putting down the scalpel attachments on a nearby tray. It did not help that they came out with a wet
*plop*. As the panic and disorientation began to subside, other sense kicked in. An itch over her back.
A throbbing headache. The smell of way too much medical alcohol.

I sit up suddenly, my back against the bedhead, only making the itch worse.
In a movement of panick, I try to turn around, touching and feeling to see if something is there.
The doctor can see i have too many burning questions to even chose one to ask. As i see him
"walking" closer, i finally whisper, stuttering. "Why...Why did you fix me... You...You people
attacked my pod..."

"You're pod was careening at us at 372 kilometers per second. The guards were understandably
worried," he explained. Now, you might not have been planing an invasion, but more reckless
attempts HAVE been made to breech the walls."
"Aa-cthually, I'm pretty sure they said they just bet each other they couldn't blow you up before you
crashed." Dr Drane corrected.
"Once again, you are exceedingly unhelpful." Dr Snips sighs.

I look genuinely relieved of the Dr Snips answer. Though his form is obviously repulsive, he seems to
me that he really did help me. Dr Drane, on the other hand is way more scary, both in looks and
words. "Perfectly good corpse ?" Wh...What did she even mean, and what is Dr Snips even doing with
her if he is well intentioned ? "Wh...What is this place ? And...What's that on my back ? " I say, still
trying to reach it, to no avail.
"Hmm? Oh, that feeling is just your new central nervous system adjunct. A memory
blackbox/transmitter. It's perfectly harmless. You'll need it to make use of things like the credit
system, the biotech, the cloning systems... Almost everyone who's anyone has them. I had a spare
one lying around, so it's on the house." His tone says 'your welcome', so it seems it's perfectly
acceptable to graft some strange biotech to someone's spine out of the blue.
"Also, you might notice a few... other enhancements. Don't worry about them. I just jumped the gun
is all." Dr Drane was trying to look sheepish, but the way her facial features contorted only made her
more horrifying.
"She was trying to make use of your body to create a bioweapon despite my protestations that you
were still alive."

I look at Dr Drane, horrified, every twitch on her face, trying to pass an emotion made her more
frightening every second.
With great trouble, my eyes not leaving the terrifying Doctor, i ask "en...enhancements ? "
"And...What is this...world ? And how do I return home ? Please ? " I said, my whole body shaking in
fear and terror. Everything was so hard to comprehend and make sense of. Everything looked
vaguely human, but distorted, twisted in a way that made the simplest thing look like it could
turn your life into a neverending horror
"Well achtually, that's a loaded question. There are lots of diffrent names used by scholarsh, laymen,
and tribalsh. Even the local humansh have their own name for it. They call it...Dirt? Mud? Earth! The
humansh here call it Earth."
The lisping, pedantic monstrosity had just dropped one hell of a bomb. Did the humans here crash
land like she did and just began calling it Earth as well? Or was this truly the long lost origin planet of
humanity? Millions of explorers had scoured the galaxy looking for it; The coordinates lost in the great
exodus. Could she really have just crash landed on the biggest find of the century? If this was what
lived on Earth now, it certainly explained why humans left and never looked back...

I tried to hide my shock at this revelation, not wanting them to understand what this could mean for
me, for us, for humanity.
"Uh...Earth... You say there are other humans here ? Why aren't they leaving ? " I say, regaining my
composure a bit, but still ready to jump and run at the first sign of trouble
"Ah, well, space travel is... difficult. Out teleporters simply de-construct your body on one end and
reconstruct it on another. Meaning we'd have to reach any other planet the normal way before
teleporting to it. Which has proven... troublesome."
"Achtually, Wreathe has wormhole teleporters."
"Wreathe also wants to sterilize the planet and turn everyone into soulless robots, Dr Drane."
It sounded like there was alot going on. Alot to take in. But the main takeaway was these
monsters(thankfully) did not have spacefaring capabilities... yet.
"So... i'm stuck here ? What about my ship ? Is there any way to recover it ? "
I said, trying to keep hope. There was no way i was spending the rest of my life her, on this
monstruous planet ! How did Earth become this madness ? It couldn't be... These creatures must be
mistaken, or playing tricks on me.

"Ah, well. The good news is, all the parts of your ship were recovered and catalogued. Very impressive
technology, I must say."
"The bad newsh is Dr. Faceless has taken it. Hesh the smartest man in Mortasheen, and one of the
most powerful."
"Indeed. The Holder of Technology. Getting it back from him would be... difficult to say the least, but
not impossible. He's not an unreasonable man... Most of the time." Dr Snip sighs. "But if I know him,
he's already trying to reverse engineer it, which would take ages considering it seems much more like
Wreathe's technology than our own..."

I swallow my saliva, knowing what I'm about to say will be hardly sound sincere, but i must try my
luck.
"Well... I know you've already done a lot by ... Not letting Dr Drane make use of my body... But you
think you could lead me to him, or show me the way, even tell me a bit more about him ? If i have to
convince him to give it back. I MUST recover my ship. I absolutely need to head back home. "

"I'm afraid I simply don't have that clearance. Dr Faceless is practically the brains of Mortasheen. In
fact, possibly literally. He's a massive collective of highly psionic brains, you see. You'd need to either
obtain something that interests him as much as your ship, or gain a high enough rank to make an
appointment. Neither of which I have any idea how to do."
"Teehee. Well I do." Dr Drane sniggers. "There's something he's been looking for for ages, something
he wants more than anything else in Mortasheen. A devilbird named Mephilas. Noone knows who he
is, where he exists, or how he walks, but I know Dr Faceless would give half of his brains to meet him.
Eeehehehe."

I get up from my bed, stumbling a bit as i stand. I'm still wearing my skintigh suit, much to my
surprise.
"I...I need to get that guy then. Where do i start ? There's gotta be someone who knows something
about him. Also, where are the humans here ? I need to meet them. They might be able to help me."

"Ummm, well, you kind of flew over most of them on your way here..." It dawns on the girl he could
only be talking about the massive sea of corpses. Zombies. "Now, there are a few humans in
Mortasheen city, and small smatterings in the wild. Most have mutated far beyond what could
physiologically still be considered human though. You are likely the most human human for thousands
miles, and you aren't even from this planet!"

"There's Wreathe... but they aren't exactly the helpful kind. Though... We might just have something
that might help you." He beckons for Lisa to follow him, leading her out of the building and into the
insane dystopian fever dream that is Mortasheen. A city the size of Australia, spanning an entire
continent, with little rule or reason to any of it. Cuboid buildings made of flesh sit across the road
from industrial factories, homes made of titanic skulls, and creepy Victorian manors. If it were
possible to build a city on anarchy and drugs, this would be it.

Flesh
House
I stop in my tracks, looking in terrified awe at the city, spanning way further than the horizon... And all
of it in its disgusting ugliness, moving slightly, as if the city itself was alive but decaying. I struggle to
walk again as the doctor calls me to follow once more

The good doctor takes Lisa to a large, cylinder of metal. "This should be of great assistance to you. It's
a piece of... finicky technology, but a purebred human should have little trouble with it."
He unlocked the door to reveal a large, human shaped robot. "We recovered this from one of our
battle with Wreathe. It *should* respond to a purebred human. Good luck."

The doctor makes himself scarce as the machine hums to life. It's eyeless face stares at Lisa as it steps
out of it's containment unit. "Pure human genome detected. Administrator access granted. How may I
be of assistance?"

58_p0.png]It's a massive robot, twice Lisa's height.

I stutter, as the machine towers over me... "It... It responds to humans ? Who are those Wreathe ?
Are they human too ? " I ask the doctor, feeling he's either hiding things, or simply not understanding
what could be of interest to me, a simple human.
"Won't I get in trouble, moving around in this, if it belongs to your enemies ?"
"The monster surgeon just wants to be rid of me. During my previous escape attempt, I killed two of
his bioforms." The robot informs Lisa. "While it is true they are hostile to my creators, my strength
and size mean they are less likely to attack, as opposed to you simply walking around unprotected.
Most monsters are not as urbane as the surgeon."
"Wreathe is the human collective located across the corpse sea. They are currently waging war
against Mortasheen."

I don't even dare ask a question about bioforms, I'd rather not know if those things are able to switch
bodies. With a barely hidden disgusted look at the doctor, i move towards the mech, looking for the
way to climb in. Surely It'll be intimidating enough to get around unbothered.
"I see... And how would one cross the corpse sea ? " I ask, disgusted a the mere though of it

The robot kneels, and her chest moves outwards and the upwards. Her abs lower down, making a set
of stairs letting Lisa climb into her torso. Inside is a tiny cockpit with several attachments and what
looks like a VR headset. "Flight would be the ideal method. Unfortunately, I am not capable of flight,
and the rest of my platoon was destroyed in the failed attack."
Once in and hooked up, it turned out to be incredibly easy to pilot the robot. The neural feedback
gave her everything, sight, proprioception, touch, sound, the works. After taking a while to get used
to it, it was like a second skin.
"Warning, without an external charge pack, my body's use is significantly limited. Solar cells are not
receiving sufficient sunlight for continuous usage."

I turn to the doctor, and hesitate a second. After all, he saved my live, even though he attached
that...thing to my back. "Is there any way that you know of to reach the other side of the sea ? And
also, where do I get one of those external charge packs ? "

"N-No. I'm afraid I've done all I can. Mortasheen does not operate any teleporters beyond city limits,
and this bioforms has never left it's walls." He's hiding around the corner of another building, not
wanting to take any more chances with the robot.
"Mortasheen has a vessels dubbed corpsecrawlers. Though they do not travel fast, they would
theoretically beable to cross the corpse sea, if we could procure enough fuel," the robot chimes in
"Robot...Well, how should i call you ? Anyway. Do you have access to a database of some sort that,
maybe the doctor here was too polite to ask ? "
"... Devilbirds are most commonly encountered in the ancient ruins of Europa. Alternatively, the
easiest way to gain renown in Mortasheen would be as a gladiator... if I were able to function for long
enough, I would likely be strong enough to tkae you to the upper ranks."
"And how long can you run, right now ? " I ask, closing my eyes, knowing i might not like the answer. I
move around getting used to the commands, much to the fear of the doctor.
"I suppose Europa is a long way from here anyway ?" I ask him
Europa... This rings a bell. This must truly be Earth. All the more motive to survive and get away from
here as quick as I can. We could come back with a whole fleet, and claim our home back ! This hope is
the only thing keeping me from barfing everytime I see the horror like landscape of this place
"Several hours, on my reserves. Nowhere nearly long enough. Might I suggest we requisition on of the
local vehicles?"
The AI lays out several stages of action
> Obtain currency: Arena fights, stealing, murder and then stealing
> Secondary objectives: Obtain compatible energy source, or vehicle to travel to Europa
> Continue arena fights/ Locate Melphilas
> Obtain ship
> Fix with help of Wreathe

"Then we need to get moving. To the arena " I say, starting to walk, slowly understanding I have no
idea where I'm going. "Doctor, I know being seen with us might be trouble for you, can you tell me a
safe way to get there ? Don't wanna get dragged out of this thing even before i get there "

He gives the robot instructions before running off back to his lab. The robot gets alot of stares, and
wiggles and some things that were barely comprehensible as a reaction. It's not until they were nearly
at their destination that something actually accosted them. A bunch of duck-like creatures were
running about, gathering at the robot's feet.
HONK
Not having any information about those creatures, i decide to try and move past them, trying to
ignore them and get away from them. To me they just look like creepy annoying mutated ducks, and i
don't want anything to do with that
One of them nipped at her heels, the buzzsaw not really breaking the robots armor, but the neural
feedback giving her a sharp sting to her feet. More and more of the ducks began testing the waters,
slight nicks growing to painful pecks…

I understood quite late that their beaks were buzzsaws. With the amount of new things encountered
by just walking down the "street", it was quite hard to notice such things. Losing no time and quite
quick to panic, I kick away the one who attacked the robot feet, hoping to get the others to
understand that it's a bad idea for them

They grow irate and the honking intensifies, but they back off, the punted duck getting right back up
and buzzing angrily at her before running off. She makes it to the arena with no more issues.
"Ah, welcome!New here? First time? Just so happens we need an opener after someone got caught
up in a backstage fight. Go right in and break a leg, or pseudopod. Whatever the other guy has."
The receptionist turns out to be a zombie. An honest to goodness, rotting, noseless, ear nearly falling
off zombie.

I freeze for a second... A talking zombie ? What ?

"Don't...Don't you need some kind of registration or something ? " I say, really put off by his... well,
zombieness
"Haha, you can register if you survive your first fight. You probably will. You look big." It's eyeballs
aren't even looking at you, both rolling off in different directions.
The room looked like something out of a sketchy back alley clinic more than a reception, with only a
couple rusty metal chairs and a desk in the room.
There were cracks in the sickly yellow walls and the sign that lead to the arena had been crossed out
and replaced with 'dyin' pit'.

"Uh...Okay" This world is really giving me a headache, just by its difference. Everything feels... not
right, and these creatures roam around, as if everything is normal to them. Sooner i get away, the
better, i say, bending a little to move past the doors, my eyes locked on the "dyin'pit'" sign, shivering
at the thought of what is expecting me there.
"Weeeelcome ladies and germs, we have our first fodder of the day, here to be torn apart ruthlessly
and violently to get you all in the mood!"
The announcer obviously didn't think much of their chances. "First up, he's mean, he's green, he loves
square dancing, it's Apocalocust!"
The crowd roars as the beastly bug enters the scene, jumping into the air so high he clears the arena
walls and comes down hard enough to crack the floor.
Apocalocust
The insect fools around, showing off his sick kung fu moves, before doing a highly telegraphed
jumping kick that is easily smacked aside. The bug goes flying as the robot swats it, but it‘s. Just.
Getting. STARTED. It's angry now, having expected the customary fodder, and it itching for some
revenge.
The locust is quick, getting in a good kick to those giant boobs, It's clawed leg digs deep into those
padded chest pieces, and the sensation is transferred directly to Lisa, who gets a sudden stabbing pain
in her boobs. Her retaliation is just as swift, and the locust is once again sent flying by the robot's
power fists. The crowd starts cheering for Lisa now, and this makes the locust plum steamed. Getting
down into a fighting stance, it looks like it's going to attack again, but instead, it's skin begins changing
hue, going from the earthy green to a violent red...
The changing colors brings nothing good, even with the crowd cheering for me, i stay cautious, and
stay on the defensive. I must conserve energy if i want to make money with this.
As it gets angrier, the locust gets stronger and faster, and now, even with the mech suit, Lisa is finding
it hard to keep up. She gets a good punch in, but the thing kicks lands an axe kick right to her chest
again, and Lisa feels a sharp pain in her underboob. It follows up with a roundhouse right into her gut,
sending the robot stumbling backwards as lisa's guts feel like they've just been hit with a bowling ball.
I stumble in the huge robot, struggling to stay standing up. Alarms are blaring everywhere, and i feel
every bit of pain as if i received the kicks myself. I grunt, and rush in, giving in to anger myself.
The locust returns to his normal color, unable to maintain the power up, but with Lisa on the back
foot, it's enough for him to close the fight. He gets under her guard and does a rising knee... Right into
her crotch. It's so fast and powerful, it lifts the mighty robot off the floor. Wasting no time, he follows
up with a high kick right to her gut. The foot digs in to the robot's armored abs, and deforms it. Lisa
feels her crotch explode into agony, and then her stomach twist in ways it was never meant to. It's
like her abdominals are tearing and someone is driving a wedge into her spine from the front.

As the robot hits the ground, it's dented abs pop open, revealing the soft and vulnerable girl inside.
Because she'd only seen it from inside the large robot, she didn't realize how big the locust really was.
Even crouching down, it was taller than her. It's claws dig into her flesh as it rips her out and then
holds her up in the air like he'd just torn out the robot's heart… The giant bug shows off, playing
hackey sack with Lisa as the sack. It's powerful kicks launch her into the air repeatedly, with no chance
for her to get her bearings. Her abs are first, followed by an ear ringing kick to the head. Then her
back. Her boobs are nearly flattened by the next kick.
The crowd laughs and cheers each time a loud "THUD" is heard as the creature impacts all over my
body. I feel every bit of pain, but much to my surprise, my body is still in one piece...
Up and down she goes, bouncing like a ragdoll, taking abuse that should have killed a human outright
before it finally stops. Screeching, it holds the girl in its hand like she’s a banana and bites down. It's
powerful fangs grind at her skin, ripping her suit to shreds as the teeth dug into her skin and breats. 2
large fangs dig right into her tits, pressing right through and gnawing as her pecs and rib cage below.
Yet... Her skin didn't break. It was excruciatingly painful, yet, but despite being crushed against her
chest and ground by shark sized teeth, her boobs just popped right back into shape, with nothing but
bruises to show.

My arms are wrapped around the fangs, trying to push them back, screaming in pain, feeling like my
body is going to snap... But it doesn't. My legs stop kicking in the air for a second, ignoring the pain, as
i try to understand what is happening. All the public sees are two legs dangling from the locust's
mouth, and assume i died before snapping in two
The locust is confused. It was sure humans were supposed to be soft and squishy. It stuffs her into it’s
mouth whole, and begins grinding her full force. Dozens of teeth dig into her soft, smooth flesh from
all angles, bones crack, but the skin somehow holds. She can feel a fang press into her lungs, another
digging into her side and crushing her kidney flat. Worst of all, one goes right up her cunt… It's wide
and pointed, and shaped like a wedge, driving into her pussy and stretching it open as the locust
furiously chews. Again and again, her cunt has a hard, sharp wedge driven into it as the arthropoid
masticates her body.

I scream at the top of my lungs, and all that is heard outside are bone cracking sounds and muffled
screams, that from the outside almost sound like moans of pleasures. The locust finding her too soft is
doing is best to crush every single part of her body with its fangs. To him, his fang in her pussy is just
like a bit of salad stuck between his teeth. The pain is unbearable, and I'm moved about, never
without a fang crushing me, left and right in his mouth

Hey body can't move, bones and muscles burning as they are cracked and stretched beyond their
limits. Then something strange happens. The locust begins to choke. It's oesophagus repeated
contracts, smothering the poor women in the fleshy, muscular tube. It's trying to cough her out, but
she's caught in good and tight. A minute more of getting crushed by a throat on one side and a
mouthful of fangs in the other, the locust drops dead and Lisa is finally spit out...
Her bones knit, her muscles reattach, but most of the bruises stick around, painful reminders of the
tortures shed just been through...

I come out with my tits on display, my suit ripped on numerous places, my thong for the whole crowd
to see… They don't seem pleased to see me coming out of there alive... I've stolen them a good
human death, and they aren't happy about it... I move to the robot to assess its damage.
