Journal Entry - Threshold 2: The Stars are Born

Have you ever wonder what stars do look like? Me, I was. When I was young, a elementary school-
age to be specific, I always look at the dark sky, looking so fascinating and asking myself “What stars do
look like?”, “Do it really have a five points?”, “Where stars made of?” These are the question that always
bothered me. But then, when I met science, it says that this is not an actually star shape that draw
continues line into five points, rather it is spherical. Science subject fed me a lot of information about
stars like it is made of big ball of gas, giving off heat and light. Also, it says that star is made up of hot
luminous gas that maintains its entity by gravity. And according to book of DK, gravity plays a vital role in
the formation of stars and planets because it causes matter to clump together. This is indeed true
because without gravity, our solar system might collide to each other as well as we might not here or
able to stand in any surface without any chance of floating.

“You can make stars and galaxies that look like the real thing but it is the dark matter that is calling
the shots”, figuratively speaking, being able to make star and galaxies is like putting a thread on a needle
where the challenge is concentration. If you are not focus on putting the thread, you might encounter
hardship. Dark matter is responsible for holding galaxies together. It is the source of gravity and does
not emit light. More importantly, it is invisible.

“When we look out into space, we are looking back in time because the light from distant objects
left a long time ago”, this is always happen on me. When I am alone, I choose to look out the in dark sky
and reminisce my past and asking my self, “Am I good enough in my past?”, “Did I meet the expectation
of everyone?” and “Did I learn from the past?”, these are the questions that always hunt me but then,
suddenly, my inner self answered me “Don’t imprisoned your self in the fast but instead, keep moving”
this answer is a mind blowing reality and able to unchained me from being chain of the past.

After I read the book, I learned that perseverance and enthusiasm are the key towards to success.
The instances that we’ve been through is sort of not matter if we will let “stunning” manifest us. Let us
take a glimpse on the dark matter that despite of being dark, it is indeed helpful to maintain the balance
of our universe. Everyone have their own problems, have their own suffering and have their own
darkness but be a stars despite of those, choose to keep shining and stunning. Be an exemplary despite
of invisibility. Be a dark matter despite of being dark. Be a star despite of dark surroundings, keep
shining. In short, be you. You are the born stars. You are perfect in this world of imperfections. Continue
as being the star even the surroundings is gloomy. Don’t stop chasing if the return is progressing. And
lastly, keep fighting even the world is frightening.
