1. Install bearing (50).

3. Install retainer (48).
Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily

To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure

and wear protective equipment.
4. Install retainer (44), spring (47), spring (46), and pin (45).
5. Install port plate (42) and shim (43).

7. Use Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) in order to install retaining ring (38).
8. Install pins (37).
9. Install barrel (36), bearing (35), retainer (34), and pistons (33).
10. Install swashplate (32) and O-ring seal (31) into housing (30).
11. Install gasket (27), shaft (28), and shim (29).
12. Install bearing (26), bearings (24), screws (25), and O-ring seal (23).
13. Install lip seal (22).
14. Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (21).
15. Install cover (20) and bolts (19).
16. Install gears (17) into housing (18).
17. Install O-ring seals (16).
18. Install cover (14) and bolts (15).
20. Install gear pump (12) and two bolts (11).

22. Install spool (4), retainer (5), retainer (6), spring (7), O-ring seal (9), and plug (8).
23. Install plug (3), valve (2), and bolts (1).
End By:
a. Install the hydraulic pump.

Main Hydraulic Pump - Install

SMCS - 5070-012
Installation Procedure
1. Attach a suitable lifting device to main hydraulic pump (5). The weight of main hydraulic
pump (5) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Install main hydraulic pump (5) and bolts (7).
2. Install hose (6). Connect hose assemblies (1), (2), (3), and (4) to main hydraulic pump (5).
3. Check the level of the hydraulic oil tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual,
"Hydraulic Oil Level - Check".
End By:
a. Install the counterweight.

Selector Valve (Alternate Pattern Control) - Remove

Removal Procedure
Start By:
a. Release the system pressure.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for
installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes in order to prevent fluid loss and to keep
contaminants from entering the system.
1. Remove bolts (1) and (2). Remove guard (3).
2. Disconnect hose assemblies (4). Disconnect harness assemblies (6). Remove bolts (7) and
remove selector valve (5).

Installation Procedure
1. Position selector valve (5) and install bolts (7). Install harness assemblies (6) and hose
assemblies (4).
2. Position guard (3) and install bolts (1) and (2).

a. Remove the accumulator for the hydraulic pilot oil.
1. Disconnect hose assemblies (1). Disconnect harness assemblies (2) and (3).
2. Disconnect hose assembly (4). Remove bolts (6) and remove valve (5).

Main Hydraulic Pump - Assemble

1. Install bearing (50).

2. Install spool (49).

3. Install retainer (48).
