Time 40 minutes and words 272:
It is argued by some that mothers are more effective in the upbringing of children than fathers. However,
I disagree as I believe that motherhood and fatherhood both are vital aspects for the children
development.
The major reason of bringing up children with both parents is distinct qualities of women and men. This
is because the innate attributes of both genders are different, as a result, children will have more
opportunities to learn from both parents. For example, women can be more caring and sympathetic, which
in turn will make a child more compassionate. On the other hand, men can guide their children with their
experiences, thus providing children a diverse experience. Furthermore, children raised by a single
parents will not be more social due to the limited exposure of one gender. Recent studies have shown that
single parenting can lead to anti-social behavior.
Additionally, raising the children alone can put extra burden on a women. This is because a working
women will have to perform the professional duties and also take care of the child. By upbringing
children together, mothers and father can raise the children without any considerable pressure on a
particular gender. Moreover, this would also reduce the professional and financial burden on both as they
can engage on their profession without having the worry of children upbringing.
To conclude, I believe both parents are necessary for children development. Not only it helps children
develop better personality and social skills, it also reduces the burden on a single parent. Therefore,
mothers and fathers should raise their children together as it will help in a prosperous and socially
attached family.
