Discription: Disproportionated rosin is made from gum rosin through disproportionated reaction
process. It is compound of dehydroabietic acid (C19H27COOH),dihydroabietic acid (C19H31COOH) and
tetrahydroabietic acid (C19H31COOH),its average molecular weight is 304.
Usage:Disproportionated rosinis an important material for potassium soap,rubber,ESBR,ABS,chewing

gum, senior paper sizing material,printing ink,etc.

 Disproportionate rosin has no particular hazards for trained person.
 HMIS® Hazard Grade: Health hazard-1,Combustion hazard-2,Chemical reaction-0
 Personal protection measure: avoid contact fused materials and inhale the steam form fused materials,
keep ventilation, clean thoroughly after operation.

Section 4. First Aid Measures
 Inhale: Move to place with fresh air immediately, or need timely medical treatment if discomfort
continuing.
 Eyes contact: Rinse eyes thoroughly with plenty water immediately in more than 15 minutes once eyes
contact with fused materials, then seek for medical treatment ASAP.
 Skin contact: Wash with water and soap. Rinse skin with plenty water immediately once fused
materials cause it burn, then seek medical treatment ASAP.
 Ingestion: Seek medical treatment ASAP.

Section 5. Fire Fighting Measures
 Fire extinguishing agent: water, dry powder.
 Special fire extinguish method: sand
 Hazard combustion products: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide
 Special explosion danger: Powder material may become explosive mixture dust.
 Sensitivity to electrostatic discharge: Materials may amass electrostatic charge which could act as a
source of ignition.

Section 6. Accidental Release Measures
 After spillage: Isolate fire place, heat source, power ASAP, keep a safe distance to avoid burn. Place in
a closed container for disposal. Powder and dust should be sprinkled with water.

 Fire and explosion prevention: The products should avoid contact with oxidizing materials, reduce dust
generation and amass
 Storage: Keep containers closed, and the storage place should be away from heat, keep ventilation
and dry.

Section 8. Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
 Workplace:Handle in a well-ventilated area (typically, change air 10 times per hour),use a dust mark.
 Respiratory protection: Wear respirator which could protect organic steam.
 Eyes protection: Has good industrial hygiene standard, minimize eyes contact. Remember to ear mask
when handle fused materials.
 Skin protection: Has good industrial hygiene standard, minimize skin contact. Remember to wear
canvas gloves.
 Recommend cleaning facilities: eye washer, rinse facilities, air jet.

 Stability: The products has good heat and oxidation resistance, can be stored for a long time.
 Incompatible materials: No dumping in high-temperature. Be care when it react with strong oxidizer.
Reactivity: Has no polymerization reaction, can be addition reaction and esterification reaction.
