Its main point is to let white residents join the Council to preserve racial harmony in Dallas county. I
think it degrades civil right movement by calling it a mob march and tries to prevent intergration.

The author’s basic belief is that Racial harmony should be maintained in the county. He think
intergration will cause chaos and disturb the community.
