Limitations: The limitations of the study are those characteristics of design or methodology that

influenced or impacted the interpretation of the findings from research. It helps the researcher to
find the balance between right and wrong.

1. The main limitation of the study was a very short time period. In the best possible
scenario, the researcher could analyze the market for a 3 months or 6 months period.
But creation of the questionnaire and the data collection process took place within a time
frame of 7 days. So, it was not possible to find a huge sample.
2. There was a plan to arrange some face to face meetings with people who worked for
retailers and also with people who are involved with some online platforms. Some face
to face interviews might have helped to get some more authentic data.
3. As the survey was made in some online platforms, there is always a question of
authenticity. Because people always tends to hide something in these cases. There is a
strong possibility that the views might be biased.
4. The target people was mainly the present students or the students who passed
university in recent years. But there is also a huge number of people besides them who
use online platform. Almost all of them were out of this survey
5. Some respondents did not answer a few of the questions from the questionnaire and
these answers were replaced with mean values.

Scope of the Study: The intent of the study was to analyze the current condition of the
retail market and the E-commerce market of Bangladesh. The study was designed to find
out the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on E-commerce sellers and retail sellers. The
questionnaire was conducted in a way to get as much authentic data as possible from the
respondents. The intent was to get data from a certain age level. Because people from that
certain age levels buys more often from E-commerce shops. This research does not
represent the views from all kinds of demography because it was simply not possible to
collect these huge amount of data in a very short span of time. The intent of the research
was to remove all kinds of bias if possible. Some of the major E-commerce sales data from
around the world was not included because the goal was to stick to the online sales data
from Bangladesh. It was also very difficult to get the post Covid-19 data because a very few
work was done about it because of the lockdown situation. The main intent of the research
was to get data about the impact of online shopping on retail shopping before and after the
Covid-19 situation.
