Elements of the Short Story

Write two paragraphs on:

EITHER

Liam and Lenny are identical twins who were separated at birth. After 18 years they
are reunited and spend two weeks getting to know one another. Imagine you are Liam,
describe the personality traits you share with Lenny and the differences in your
character in the first two opening paragraphs of the story.

OR

You are in the process of writing a short story. Imagine your character has a favorite
place they escape to whenever they feel stressed or need quality alone time. In two
paragraphs, describe this favourite place. Be sure to appeal to at least three of the
senses.

2. Everytime I go to this place,my body and my mind feel relaxed and

stress free.I always go here in the afternoon whenever I feel troubled or
burdened. Beautiful flowers and trees surround this land as a variety of
birds chirp. The robins there sing melodious sounds to me to ease my
worries.

The amazing fragrances of roses and lilies fill my nostrils. The thought
that this magnificent place exists in my backyard engulfs me with joy.
This majestic land clears my mind of all thoughts and makes me feel as if
I am on cloud nine.
