XLam X-traint Fall Restraints ®

A considerable benefit received when working with XLam CLT

as the primary construction material on-site is the very high
level of safety that can be achieved. Now XLam offer another
way to improve site safety even further, XLam would like to
introduce X-traint fall restraint anchors.

XLam X-traint fall restraints are certified as 1-man and 2-man

freefall restraint anchors. XLam has worked closely with
Collins Corporation Ltd to develop a specifically engineered
fall restraint system for optimal safety and performance. The
fall restraint device is fixed to a proprietary RAMPA© insert
which are pre-drilled into XLam panel at convenient locations.
The fall restraint device is easy and fast to fix to the RAMPA©
connections and can be re-used multiple times.

The XLam fall restraint system is ductile and designed to

deform upon impact. This takes significant energy out of the
fall and ensures superior safety performance. A protective
paint system ensures the device is durable in all New Zealand
exposure zones. The XLam fall restraint system is Certified to
AS/NZS 5532:2013, manufacturing requirements for single-
point anchor device used for harness based work at height.
The XLam fall restraint system significantly reduces the amount
of edge safety protection required

Certified as a 1-man freefall arrest anchor:

Compliance with 15kN static pull test as per AS/NZS 5532:2013

Certified as a 2-man freefall arrest anchor:

Compliance with 21kN dynamic drop test as per AS/NZS 5532:2013
