The first presenters are Encarnacion, Nacion and Platon. They tackle about
identifying business opportunities in the environment. They define first the meaning of
business opportunity which means the necessary things of the costumers or the want of
the costumers. They also tell the source of the opportunities that includes problems,
changes, new discoveries, existing products and services and unique knowledge. Also,
there are four ways to turn ideas into opportunities such as starting a new business,
buying an independent business, buying a franchise and becoming an inventor. In
creating an enterprise, it is important that as an entrepreneur, you have a clear purpose
on why you want a business and how you met your target goals. After planning there
are things that you have to consider and stable your finances so that you can now
proceed to execute your business. These are the things that you need to consider first
is the chance happening which the unexpected things that you might encounter in
making business. Next is the personal interest or hobbies that might help you a lot in
your business. Another is your friends and relatives might help you to give an advice on
what to do. Fourth is if your family have an existing business. Fifth is suggestions from
someone is another thing you might consider. Next is education or courses because
you might have acquired some skills. Next is prior work or experience because in other
experience you can also gain skills. Another is research and development like making
questionnaires or surveys from your customers. Next is creative problem solving to
obtain new ideas. Tenth is focus group discussions to provide information. Next is
problem inventory analysis where in the customers are given list of problems with a
general product category. And last is brainstorming to group of individuals.
Furthermore, the second presenters are Alinsunurin, Castillo and Conejero. They
discuss about the spotting opportunities in business. It has five identifiable spotting
opportunities. First is market need which means what are the majority needs of your
customer. Next is the location it is very important because place is where your costumer
go and it is important that your location is easy to access. The presenters also add
information in location which is the types of location like retail shopping strips, online
business, shopping center and home-based business. Next opportunity is the hobby of
the people it is a big advantage so that you have already a skill in that particular hobby
that you want to be a business. Another is available materials in the community is also
important for you to have easy access for the materials that you need in your business.
And last is your interest and you should also know how to do it. There are four ways of
acquiring business first is start a new business that you need to provide all things
needed in your business. Next is buy an existing business. The third is take over a
family business that you don’t need to start from zero because it is already existing. And
last is buy a franchise that considered it has already established in the market.
Finally, for the last presenters they are Almario, Elani and Villaflor. They tackled
about the global opportunities which is about striving to innovate business activities
internationally. There are four ways to take the opportunities globally. First is exporting
which refers to creating a product in one country then selling it to another country to
increase income. Next is the partnership by two or more parties to manage a business
and share profits. Third one is franchising is a type of license that grants to access to a
franchisor proprietary and last is branch opening to expand opportunities and for the
company to be stable and expand the market.
Above all mentioned information’s are very helpful in making a business specially
to me when I am planning to make a business the near future. So that I am very
prepared and aware for the things that I need to do and not to do. Also, for the things
that I need to consider so that my future business is successful.
