PLANNING DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF G+1 HOSPITAL

BUILDING FOR IIIT SRIKAKULAM CAMPUS.

ABSTRACT :-

The main purpose of our project satisfies the medical needs of IIIT
Srikakulam campus by building a 30 bedded hospital. In this project we concerned
about the plan, analysis and design of hospital building. The plan of the hospital
building is done by using AUTO CAD software. The analysis of structures were done
by using E-tabs as well as IS 456: 2000 Code, for plain and reinforced cement
concrete. The design of RCC slab, beam, column, footing and stair case is based on
limit state method as per IS 456:2000 code. The design of hospital building should be
developed with following disciplinaries. The design was developed by using IS codes
for better output of design considerations. Here the hospital building was designed
and analyzed for G+1 storey structure. Nowadays, the software techniques were
highly involved in a construction field for quick and finer accuracy of an analysis and
to execute the given project effectively. The most prominent using software for design
and analysis of the respective buildings by E-tabs software for accuracy and safety
regards. In this project, ETABS software was used for analysis and design purpose
mainly for the result of shear force and maximum bending moment. RCC detailing is
of most important concern for clear understanding and also in executing the
reinforcement work without any difficulty.

Features of hospital design that are linked to patient safety include noise, air
quality, lighting conditions, patient room design, unit layout, and several other interior
design features..The main elements of the hospital are divided into administration, out
patients, diagnostics, therapeutic services, internal medication, inpatient division and
general services. The out patients division includes pharmacy and emergency
reception. Diagnostic services division includes laboratories. Internal medication
division includes operation theatre and intensive care unit. The inpatient division
includes patient wards, inpatient services. General services division includes storages,
laundry, security, parking and landscaping.
