IDENTIFYING DIFFERENT KINDS OF

TECHNICAL DRAWINGS
Background Information for Learners
Let us check your knowledge on identifying different kinds of technical drawings.
This exploratory course on Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing will develop your skill and
ability to prepare, interpret and identify technical drawings. Each electronic component is represented by
a unique schematic symbol and every project or complete circuit is given in the form of schematic
diagram.
This means that mastery/familiarization of the common electronic symbols is of great help when it comes
to developing your skills and abilities in doing and assembling related electronic projects and other
performance task/activities found in this module. The learner should also understand the concepts and
underlying principles in preparing and interpreting technical drawings and work plans.
Specifically, you should be able to:
a. Select appropriate technical drawing according to job requirements; and
b. Segregate technical drawings in accordance with the types and kinds of drawings.

2. Activity 2: Read/ identify different type of diagram used in electronics
appliances.
3. Activity 3: Identify Drawing instruments and their uses.
4. Activity 4: Activity 2: Self- Assessment
Instructions: Conduct a maintenance activity on the given drawing instruments withthe following
guide questions:
1. What will you do if a drawing instrument is damaged due to misuse?
