1. Adverbs go before the verb: He always arrives late

2. After “to be” He is never late for the class

 A sentence can have an adverb of frequency and an adverb phrase

 Never and hardly ever are negative, so they don’t need another negative in the
sentence

- I don’t never go to the gym / I don’t hardly ever go to the gym
