LEGEND: Simple Compound Complex Compound Complex

It was supposed to be a typical Sunday March 15 in 2020, when the government attempted to halt the
spread of the novel coronavirus in the Philippines by locking down Metro Manila and other populous
areas. We have now been hit hard for more than a year, as the virus COVID-19 continues to spread
around us. The spread of Covid 19 was shocking, and it has changed everyone including me.

This pandemic infiltrates my mind and heart, turning it from calm and composed to panic and fear.
This worried me about the health and safety of my family and loved ones. I get nervous when I'm
outside our house. As a result, I became oblivious to God's presence and power. It made me wonder,
"Why does God allow this to happen?" Why is Corona still being spread? It's all too easy to get caught
up in the panic and fear that surrounds me. They have the sensation of being infinite.

But today, as I write in my personal journal, God reminds me of His faithfulness and how He has the
power to improve any situation. It is impossible with man, but not with Him; everything is possible
with God. When we are hopeless, the Lord gives us hope; He teaches us that our victory over Covid
19 and other crises is primarily in Him, not in our actions. He gives us the strength we need to face
tomorrow's challenges.
So, as we reflect on God's faithfulness in the face of this pandemic, we know that He is willing and
able to transform our masks into genuine smiles once more—to give us enough grace in this life and
full joy in the future. May we all be filled with compassion, resilience, unity, positivity, and faith in
God.
