Background: Sexual reproductive health(SRH) is a new emerging problem in developing

countries. Our main goal is to find a proper and more realistic approach to solve this worldwide
problem. The main problem arises due to lack of knowledge regarding SRH and lack of proper
SRH services available. Bangladesh is a developing country with a huge population. According
to recent study in 2018, around 47% of the total population of Bangladesh lives in Slums and
currently SRH related diseases are most common in slum areas. We can guess why these
diseases are mostly found in slums. That is due to proper guidance and knowledge about SRH
related diseases. Adolescents between the age group of 10-19 years old suffer greatly due to
lack of SRH service and proper knowledge about SRH. They lack awareness about puberty and
most of the time hesitate to tell their parents as many consider these as taboo. They are not
aware of the physical changes as their parents also lack knowledge about sexual and
reproductive health. Due to these many unwanted circumstances may arise like unwanted
pregnancy, Sexually Transmitted disease like HIV . The Bangladesh government took many
initiatives to overcome these challenges but there seems to be many limitations to their
approach. There is a lack of proper programmes for adolescents as during these periods sexual
norms and values start to form. Besides due to poverty women mostly avoid buying sanitary
products and use traditional methods to treat their reproductive health being unaware of its
dangerous consequences.
