RESEARCH APPROACH

Research approaches are plans and the procedures for research that span the steps from broad
assumptions to detailed methods of data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

The two basic research approaches are quantitative and qualitative research. Both types have
different purposes.

In this study I will be using Quantitative approach or research.

Quantitative research/approach/ analysis uses numbers and statistics to understand frequencies,

averages and correlations (in descriptive studies) or cause-and-effect relationships (in
experiments). In simple words Quantitative data is data expressing a certain quantity, amount or
range. Usually, there are measurement units associated with the data.

In other words Qualitative data describes qualities or characteristics. It is collected using

questionnaires, interviews, or observation, and frequently appears in narrative form. For
example, it could be notes taken during a focus group on the quality of the food at Cafe Mac, or
responses from an open-ended questionnaire.

Research instrument: I will be using well structured questionnaire.

Sample size: The sample size of 100 people is taken for this study.

Locality: Hyderabad.
