names aren't set up.

- Introduce yourself with a virtual handshake. 10 mins.


- Let them do the same thing (age, education,
occupation, general purpose in taking English).

- Conclude with it's nice to meet you.

1/ Conversation.
Pre-Listening
- Can you tell me what do you see in the picture?
- What is this shape that we see (point to the
dialogue) and elicit: dialogue.
- Can you find the names in the conversation?
While listening
- Write the sentences: 15 mins.
I'm Isabella Martins.
My name is Joshua Brown.

After-listening
- Explain they have the same meaning.
- Explain that I'm is less formal than my name is.
- Ask about the conversation and explain any
vague words.
2/ SNAPSHOT
Pre-listening
- Ask students if they could identify the people in
the pictures.
- Explain what you will be doing.
- Explain that the names are popular English names.
- Explain what a nickname is.
- Let them read the names alone.

Listening & Practicing 15 mins.


- Let them listen to the audio (correct their
pronunciation)

- Ask about what's the nickname for:


Michael/Emily, etc.

After-listening
(Ask about popular Algerian names).
Ask about whether they have a nickname or not.
Grammar Focus.
- Ask about the pics.
(people are shaking hands, meeting each
other/introducing themselves).
15 mins.
- Read the orange box for them.
- Ask them what do they think your, my, her, etc
are?
Explain that my, your, his, her are possessive
adjectives. Write them on the board.

Use possessive adjectives in a sentence, and ask


them to do the same thing.
Speaking.
- Ask them about the alphabet. Give them a chance
to practice it (read the box). 15 min

- Spelling act.

Word Power.
- Listen together to the recording.
- Let the students read all by themselves.
- Ask them to remember four different people (two 10 mins
male/two female) and add the title to their names.
