The discussion topic for this module is to introduce yourself to the class. Please include the
following basic information in your biography:

Compose your biography in a narrative format (2 or 3 paragraphs, no bulleted items) or a video

your initial postings, review at least two of your classmates’ postings and reply to their threads.

Assignment 1: Create a Graphic Organizer

Outcomes
After completing this assignment, students will be able to:
 identify the differences between relations and functions
 represent a function using multiple notations
 identify a given graph as a function or not by vertical line test

Overview
In this assignment, you will analyze the differences between relations and functions. In addition,
you will analyze and reflect on the multiple representations of a function in the form of a graphic
organizer. Analyze when a relation would be a function and how do you identify a given graph
as a function or not by vertical line test.

Instructions
After the completion of the watching recommended videos and any related videos, and reading
the provided articles, describe the differences between relations and functions. Make a note of
the multiple representations with examples. Using smart art on word or a prezi, or of your
personal choice create a graphic organizer that illustrates the required outcomes.

the provided articles, create a presentation of applications of functions in real-world. It should
motivate both students and general public to pursue a career in functions or appreciate the
significance of functions in real-world.
