Industrial Automation
Exercise # 5
Basic Pneumatic Circuit: Counting
Objectives

1. Familiarize the different pneumatic components and its functions.

2. Draw the function diagram of the given sequence.
3. Design a pneumatic circuit using counting and label the components.
4. Identify the pneumatic components needed to operate the system
5. Simulate the system using the pneumatics module.

Sequence

a) B+ A+ A- A+ A- B- (single cycle)
b) B+ A+ A- A+ A- B- (continuous cycle)
c) B+ A+ A- A+ A- B- (single and continuous cycle)
d) B+ A+ A- A+ A- B- (continuous cycle with emergency stop)
e) B+ A+ A- A+ A- B- (single and continuous cycle with emergency stop)
