Industrial Automation
Exercise # 6
Advanced Pneumatic Circuit: Counting
Objectives

1. Familiarize the different pneumatic components and its functions.

2. Draw the function diagram of the given sequence.
3. Design a pneumatic circuit using advanced counting and label the components.
4. Identify the pneumatic components needed to operate the system
5. Simulate the system using the pneumatics module.

Sequence

a) C+ A+ B+ A- B- A+ B+ A- B- C- (single cycle)
b) C+ A+ B+ A- B- A+ B+ A- B- C- (continuous cycle)
c) C+ A+ B+ A- B- A+ B+ A- B- C- (single and continuous cycle)
d) C+ A+ B+ A- B- A+ B+ A- B- C- (continuous cycle with emergency stop)
e) C+ A+ B+ A- B- A+ B+ A- B- C- (single and continuous cycle with emergency stop)
