1.1.1 How to use this manual
The present fitting instructions show you how to fit the
parts listed in the shipping package chapter.
In the installation chapter, existing parts are marked by
letters and new parts by numbers to provide better
orientation.
Provided you follow the advice on care and mainte-
nance of your product, you will be rewarded with
reliable and long service from your product.
Please have the regular inspections carried out by
your CLAAS specialist workshop. Omissions of parts
of the maintenance schedule or incorrect operation
lead to a drop in performance and cost valuable time.
By correct operation and servicing you can make full
use of our sound experience and of the latest technical
knowledge with which your product has been
designed, thus ensuring reliability of your product.
Texts and figures
Pictures and graphics are neutral. Differences are
pointed out by notes beneath the figure.
Texts are short and not machine-specific as far as pos-
sible. Differences are pointed out by intermediate
headings.
Different types of texts can easily be distinguished
from one another by their formats. The following for-
mats are distinguished:

2.1 Caution

2.1.1 Very important
To prevent hazardous situations, the instructions in this
manual must be read and complied with by all persons
who carry out or inspect this assembly operation.
Pay particular attention to the sections "On safety“ in
the operator's manuals for the machine and the front
attachment.
Use of parts, accessories and ancillary equipment that
are not supplied directly by CLAAS and have not been
tested and released by CLAAS can negatively affect
the performance characteristics of the CLAAS
machine as specified by its design engineering, and
may thus impair active and / or passive safety while
driving and working (accident prevention).
CLAAS cannot be held liable for any damage to the
extent that it is caused by use of non-original CLAAS
parts, accessories and ancillary equipment.
