A social worker’s main objective is to help people to solve their own problems and some
of the skills a social worker should have, a caring attitude, prepared to stick with people
to go through the difficult times of their lives.
The kind of people a social worker can help are those dealing with child abuse,
domestic violence and assist people to overcome drugs addiction by helping them find a
rehabilitation center, due to the emotional demands from people placed on social
workers, teamwork in this profession is important so they can rely on their colleagues
for advice and assistance.
Apart from helping people, other duties social workers have, range from researching
information on public assistance programs, filling out applications and legal forms, this
work demands a lot of dedication and is emotionally challenging so they can give right
emotional support and useful advice.
