As what I know being in a social work you are involve in the society helping other people with the

use of
your knowledge acquired academically. Also, it has a lot of kind like a family, children, or community
social work, etc. Most importantly this profession requires understanding to your clients without judging
them, instead you will let them feel that you are there to listen, and guide them. Social workers are
there to improve social relationship in a certain society.

The only differences are that my subjective knowledge about social work only focuses on helping others,
but in global definitions it broadly defined the social work, its function, goals, and methods. I thought
that all of the social workers have the same way of doing their jobs, but it says here that it depends on
the history, culture, and socio-economic status of a country. I was also amaze because I didn't know
social workers can do part in justices, liberation, social-cohesion and many more. Now I can say that
social work is a profession that will help promote global changes.

What do you think is the importance of social work profession and contribution of social workers given our
national situation?
Social work profession is important because they are the one who goes into every place no matter
where it is to give and provide service to people. Which made them contributes a big hand, as a
government employee that not just gives food packs when there is a calamity or hunger, but also gives
voice and service to those who wants justice, want to be relieve from suffering, and guides us that are in
the wrong. In every people lives there is a social worker that will help improve their lives or as a whole
being. They give us hope no matter what kind of situation we have here in the country.

What does the social work profession promote?

As what I have understand social work profession promotes every society development, social change, empowers every people,
does not give you any judgements, and will help to create a better relationship with one another. All in all, social workers are there
to promote a life without difficulties in facing the situation that you are in which will lead people’s lives into a wellbeing.

What makes social work different from other people engaging in problem-solving?

What makes a social work different form other profession engaged in problem solving is that they both give attention on a
person and what is the cause of the problem. They will first identify the problem by asking the client, then will create or
make possible solutions to help the client, and will carry out the plan. Social workers will help you deal of what you are in
and will make you feel not alone. Social workers can help most of the people’s problem, because they can be assigned to
any area which they chose to be employed.

List down other disciplines where social work knowledge base is anchored.

As what we know social work profession can be drawn into different areas like community service, counseling, teaching,
justice and corrections, and health care, for me those are the most familiar career that a social work students like us can be
taken in the future. But as what I have read in the internet or what I just remember from the previous lesson social work
can be also involve philosophy, economic, ecology, anthropology, criminology, and many more which are some of it are
available in other country.
