Phrasal Verbs- TO ASK

To ask for= 1) to say that you wanted something:

I asked for the chicken but you have brought me the beef.

2) to do something that is likely to lead to trouble

Speaking like this to his parents he was asking for trouble.

To ask for someone= to ask to speak to them

He asked for Anna but there is no one working here called Anna.

To ask around= ask many people the same question

I asked around but nobody has seen my wallet.
